AAP backs PM on army action, nail Pakistan’s lies: Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal

Jodhpur (Rajasthan), Oct 4 : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said the AAP was with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the surgical strikes in Pakistani territory and wanted him to give a “befitting reply” to Islamabad’s claims that no such operation took place.

“Pakistan is spreading false propaganda on surgical strikes and is telling the international media that no surgical strikes took place. The Prime Minister should give Pakistan a befitting reply,” Kejriwal told reporters here.

“We all know that surgical strikes were conducted. In my video, I had appealed to the Prime Minister that we all will have to give Pakistan a befitting reply over its propaganda on surgical strikes.

“We all support the Prime Minister in this endeavour,” he said. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader is on a short visit to Jodhpur.

“We will support whatever steps he (PM) takes (on exposing Pakistan’s propaganda),” he said.

Kejriwal’s remarks came after Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad attacked him for supposedly seeking proof of the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army across the Line of Control (LoC).

Kejriwal said: “I am very sad to know that Ravi Shankar Prasad is saying that I am doing politics over this issue. It is the BJP which is doing politics.

“Why is the BJP so much rattled if we say that we have to give a befitting reply to Pakistan on its false propaganda on surgical strikes?”
