Aadhaar Mistake : Over 250 people born on January 1 in Rajasthan

May 24 , Wednesday : After a UIDAI operator caught in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, for attempting to enroll an Aadhaar card in the name of slain al-Qaida terrorist Osama bin Laden, another strange incident has been observed in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district over UIDAI scheme.

According to Aadhaar records, around 250 people living in Pokhran, Pabupadia village of Jaisalmer are born on January 1.

When people noticed this, they raised the matter with authorities. A villager told The Times of India , “the officers did not even discuss the issue, when they went to inform about this”.

This strange data have revealed the negligence and inattentiveness of e-Mitra centres , set up by the Rajasthan government.

The incident comes in wake of when government is making ADDHAR mandatory for almost everything across the country.

However, such incidents have raised questions over the credibility and authenticity of identity of an individual mentioned in AADHAR which government should overlook.
