Another name has joined the list of students who chosen for a dark end to tackle problems and ended life by taking extreme step of suicide in Kota .
Kota which is well known for its education hub for the medical and engineering aspirants but it seems that in the dreams of bright future youths are getting stuck into the trap of depression.
A total of nine students in Kota so far have committed suicide in which five were medical students.
A medical student Nikhil Nayan (20) came Kota barely one month ago with full of wishes in heart from Bhagalpur in Bihar but it is yet unknown what made him to end his life.He joined coaching institute on June 17, inspired by the success of many such students and was staying in a hostel. He went to the institute for just 12 days.
On Tuesday night, Nikhil’s body was found hanging from the shower head of his bathroom.
The incident came to light on when students complained of foul smell coming from Nikhil’s room. “Prime facie it appears that he committed suicide two days ago. We have searched his room but are yet to find any suicide note,” said Shoukat Ali, ASI of Kunhari police station in Kota.
Nikhil was last seen by fellow students in the hostel on Monday afternoon. But the shocking thing is that nobody reacted even after noticing his room was closed for past two days.
“It is puzzling that students and the hostel warden did not react even after seeing his room closed for the past two days. We have called them for investigation,” said Ali.
The recent suicide alarms that it is high time to take some action for such students who are preparing for entrance exams notwithstanding, authorities and coaching institutes in Kota and are unable to fight stress. It is required to have a regular check on student’s surroundings and their way of thinking. Excess of stress is leading students to these situations.
Meanwhile, Coaching authorities said that, “According to the rules, we had alerted his family and the hostel owners after he was absent for seven days.
