New Delhi, Dec 15: Thousands of passengers remain stranded at the New Delhi railway station as 55 trains are running behind their schedule, 23 rescheduled and 16 cancelled due to prevailing fog conditions in parts of north India.
As per a Northern Railway official, the 15025 Mau-Anand Vihar Express was running 33 hours behind schedule and the 14005 Lichchvi Express was running 28 hours behind schedule. While the 22405 Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Garib Rath was 22 hours late.
The official said that 23 trains were rescheduled as the visibility dipped down to 400 metres on Thursday.
Flight operations also affected as 5 (arrival) international flights at Delhi’s IGI airport delayed and 3 domestic flights delayed (arrival:2, departure:1, cancelled:1).
