Mumbai 13 oct: Five-storey building collapsed at Behrampada in Bandra east area of Mumbai at around 1 pm on Thursday. 4 persons died and at least 6-7 people feared trapped in the dross of 5 storey building.
Fire trucks, ambulances, local police, media personnel and five fire engines were rushed to the area making efforts to pull out those who trapped under the building on Anant Kanekar Marg in the Behrampada slum.
The fire Brigade department was successful in saving one woman who was trapped there, She was rushed to Bhabha hospital and it is said that she is alright now.
“My six grandchildren and their mother is trapped inside the debris. They were residing on the first floor. I have no information about them yet,” said the Abdul Rab, a resident of the building.
The narrow lanes were hampering their search and rescue efforts, officials said.
