5 hospitalized after Chlorine gas leak in Haryana’s Panchkula


Chandigarh, Aug 10: Nearly 30 persons were affected on Thursday after a suspected chlorine gas leak in Haryana’s Panchkula town near Chandigarh.

Officials informed that five of them had to be hospitalised.

The leak held from the Sector 20 waterworks, which is managed by the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA). The locals complained of uneasiness, itching in eyes and other problems and were admitted to the General Hospital.

According to the officials, the people living nearby the vicinity are affected by the leak. Meanwhile, the area was cordoned off by the authorities.
