Chandigarh, 23 sep: Health Minister Anil Vij today said the situation in the state was comparatively better than the last year with a lesser number of dengue and chikungunya cases and no death reported.
“During this season till today, 458 positive cases of dengue have been reported from entire Haryana, out of which 259 patients have been discharged,” Mr Vij said.
“Fortunately, no dengue death has been reported from anywhere in the state so far,” he added.
“Last year, we had a large number of dengue cases. But the situation is comparatively under control this time. If we look at our neighbouring states, dengue cases in Punjab are much higher, while Delhi is the worst affected,” he said.
