Telangana, Sep 11: At least 52 people were killed and several injured on Tuesday after a state-run RTC bus met with an accident near Kondaagattu.
The bus, carrying around 70 passengers, met with the accident after the driver reportedly lost control at a speed breaker.
“52 people have died so far in the incident. CM KC Rao has even announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the family members of the deceased” State Finance Minister Etela Rajender told media.

All the injured have been admitted to nearby government hospitals.
A rescue operation is underway.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced Rs 5 lakh as ex-gratia to the family members of the deceased.
Heart-rending scenes were witnessed at the incident site as some of the injured lay amid bodies crying for help. Wailing relatives of the victims crowded Jagtial Hospital, where the medical staff struggled to deal with the large number of casualties.
Meanwhile, locals voiced their anger against the authorities over poor condition of the road and the alleged negligence of TSRTC.
