4 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists killed in Pulwama encounter

Srinagar, April 1: Four terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were killed in an encounter with security forces in Lassipora area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.

Police said three army personnel and one policeman sustained injuries. They have been hospitalized and are in a stable condition.

“It was a clean operation, no collateral damage happened during the encounter. Arms and ammunition recovered from the site of encounter. The case has been registered”, the police added.

A joint team of Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Special Operations Group (SOG) launched a cordon and search operation in Lassipora on receiving credible inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.

As the joint team approached towards the suspects, the hiding terrorists fired upon security forces.
