Srinagar witnessed two terror attacks in the very heart of the city in which three policepersonnel, including a junior level officer were on Monday killed and one policeman sustained injuries.
According to reports, a group of heavily armed terrorists first attacked a police party at Zadibal Police Station in Srinagar, killing two policepersonnel.
And in the span of two hours, the militants launched another major attack, this time attacking a CRPF post in Tengpora. One CRPF jawan was killed in the daring attack. The militants also managed to snatch the rifle of the martyred CRPF jawan before fleeing from the scene.
This is the first major strike by separatist guerrillas in Srinagar city after the Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP-BJP coalition government took office in Jammu and Kashmir.
