3 Pakistani soldiers killed in Peshawar, IS claims responsibility

New Delhi, Sep 19, 2016: Hours after terrorists attacked an army administrative base in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri town, On Sunday, Two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle killed three Pakistani military personnel near the north-western city of Peshawar.

According to Senior police officer, The gunmen struck in Garhi Sohbat Khan on the outskirts of Peshawar, the capital of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, attacking a private vehicle carrying the three soldiers.

Authorities have launched an investigation and several suspects have also been taken into custody in connection with the fatal attack.

Meanwhile, Islamic State militants have claimed the assassination of three Pakistan soldiers.
