3 Men crushed by vehicle on Yamuna Expressway; locals block road

Uttar Pradesh, Sept 28: The agitated Locals block Yamuna Expressway near Mathura after 3 people were run over by a vehicle on the expressway.

It is learnt that the deceased Hari om, Pradeep and Bheem Sen were the residents from Sikandarpur. They used to go on jogging daily early morning in a bid to join Army or Police.

As their daily routine, the three men were jogging on the Yamuna Expressway early on Thursday. Suddenly an unidentified speeding vehicle crushed the three and went away. The trio succumbed to death on the spot. According to some eyewitnesses, the vehicle was heading to Agra from Noida.

After the accident, the locals blocked the way in the view of rising road accidents on the highway.

Earlier, a private bus departed from Noida became the target of assailants. The passengers of thebus  were looted in the mid-way of Yamuna Expressway. There were around 50-50 passengers on the bus when the crooks took away their money and jewellery as they were having weapons and fled away from there.

These incidents spread panic among the locals as well as travellers to go via this route. An extra vigil is required on this route to assure the security of passersby as well as commuters who passes through the Yamuna Expressway.
