Assam: At least 3 persons have been arrested from Rangiya railway station for trafficking 12 minor boys and girls.
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) have rescued all the minors from their clutches, a spokesperson for North East Frontier Railway said.
The incident took place at Rangia railway station, about 60 km from Assam’s main city Guwahati.
“On interrogation, the traffickers revealed they were taking the boys and girls to Mumbai and hand over them to some agents who had promised them money,” the officer said.
The accused were handed over to Government Railway Police for further action.
