New Delhi, Nov 13: The Supreme Court on Tuesday admitted a plea filed by Zakia Jafri, challenging the clean chit given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, other top politicians, and bureaucrats in the 2002 Gujarat riots case.
The apex court will hear the plea on November 19 (Monday).
Zakia is a wife of former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri, who lost his life in the massacre.
In October last year, the Gujarat high court had upheld the clean chit given to Modi and 58 others by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The riots had triggered in Gujarat after the Godhra train burning incident of February, which claimed lives of 59 people.
PM Narendra Modi was the chief minister of Gujarat when the incident had taken place
