Six people, including 2 Border Security Force jawans, lost their lives after they consumed poisonous liquor in Rajasthan’s Barmer district.
The soldiers — Tapandas (45) from West Bengal, and Bhal Singh (36) from Jhunjhunu district – complained of chest pain after they drank liquor from a local shop in the border district. They were rushed to the district hospital but could not be saved.
Four civilians who died have yet to be identified, but they suspected to be from various villages.
As per the police, 12 other people are under treatment.
Samples of the liquor has been sent to the forensic sciences laboratory even as efforts are been made to nab all the culprits responsible for the tragedy.
