New Delhi, Sep 14, 2016: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday submitted its final report in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case before Karkardooma Court regarding the role of Jagdish Tytler, who was earlier given a clean chit by the agency.

As Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Shivali Sharma was on leave on Wednesday, the investigation report was filed in a sealed envelope before a link magistrate, Rakesh Kumar Singh, who set September 28 as the next date of hearing.

The court on December 4, 2015, had ordered the CBI to further investigate the case against Tytler, referring to arms dealer Abhishek Verma’s statement that indicated Tytler had tried to influence a witness.
