Thirteen persons, including five children, were killed when a Bolero car carrying them was rammed by a speeding Bhopal-Howrah train in Jharkhand.
Among the dead, six were children, four women and three men, who were returning from a marriage function.
The accident took place last night at the outer signal of Bhurkunda railway station, near Ramgarh.
“The bodies will be taken for postmortem and then the investigation will proceed,” Ramgarh deputy collector A Dodde said.
The police and administration later reached the spot and cleared the track after recovering the dead bodies.
Later around midnight, the track was cleared and train could leave onward for Bhopal.
