Delhi, 27 Sept: In a shocking incident held in West Delhi’s School, where two class 12 students allegedly stabbed a teacher in front of their classmates on Monday evening after he informed their parents about their acts of indiscipline.
The crime held in Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Sultanpuri Road, in Nangloi.
Mukesh Kumar aged 45 lives in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, with his wife and three children. He succumbed to death on Tuesday at Balaji Action hospital.
The government has announced compensation of Rs 1 crore to the family of deceased.
According to the School authorities, a Hindi teacher, was attacked at around 5 pm in a school room when he came out of a classroom after conducting a half-yearly examination. The two students stopped him and they had an argument during which one of them whipped out a knife and stabbed him several times, said police.
However, Badan Singh, the principal of the school, said the school had rusticated one of the accused for irregular attendance.
Meanwhile, Police have arrested one accused and one juvenile, said Joint CP Delhi.
Some teachers also came ahead saying that the student involved in the incident used to threaten them too.
This incident has raised security concerns of teachers and students inside school premises.
