New Delhi, April 14: A similar incident to the Kathua gangrape case has been reported from Gujarat, where a girl was raped, tortured to death and then thrown to the dumps.
According to ABP News report, an 11-year-old girl was reportedly murdered horrifically on April 6 after being sexually tortured for at least 8 days. The case falls under Pandesara police stations limits.
A post-mortem report revealed the girl was raped and then killed.
What’s horrifying to note here is that at least 80 injury marks were found on her body.
However, the girl has not been identified yet and none of her kin has come forward to claim the body. It’s still not known who the killer is. Police are scouting the list of the missing persons, as per the report.
The state police have lodged a case of rape and also booked the unidentified accused under The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
There’s been no end to the spate of sexual violence against minors as time and again such incidents are coming to light.
As in Madhya Pradesh, a nine-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her stepfather on Thursday.
Yet in another incident, on April 10 a six-year-old girl was raped in Bihar’s Sasaram.
The recent instances come at the time when the country is already stunned with Unnao and Kathua rape case.
